THE YACHT-MASTER, one of the newer Rolex models, was first introduced in 1992. It was not until 1997 however that the Rolesium Yacht-Master, reference 16622 was debuted (Rolesium is a term coined by Rolex for a stainless steel and platinum configuration). It was this combination which really brought the Yacht-Master to public attention, and led to a sharp rise in popularity. Whilst not in short a supply as the stainless steel Daytona, it appears that demand is greater than current supply – the margin seems to increase each year.
